Kitui West, Kitui County – In a momentous celebration of Youth Day at Kabati Parish, Fr. Julius Mathamba delivered a powerful message of encouragement and a call for positive change.
Addressing the young audience, Fr. Mathamba urged students to strive for greatness in their pursuits, emphasizing the importance of excelling in both personal endeavors and contributing to the well-being of fellow citizens and the unity of the nation.

Expressing broader concerns for the community, Fr. Mathamba called on President William Ruto to consider lowering the cost of living. He highlighted the necessity of fostering peace and unity between the legislative and executive branches for the benefit of all Kenyan citizens.
“As you move forward, may these words inspire you to not only excel in your endeavors but also to be mindful of the well-being of your fellow citizens and the unity of your nation,” remarked Fr. Mathamba.
Charles Mulila, a member of the Budget Economic Forum in the Kitui County Government, also shared insightful words during the Youth Day celebration. His message focused on care and concern for the future, encouraging the youth to make choices that align with their age and to avoid the pitfalls of drug abuse.

“Remember, your focus on what is right for your age is pivotal in ensuring uninterrupted learning and a promising future. Embrace the opportunities ahead, stay committed to your studies, and let the guidance of responsible choices shape your path,” Mulila added.
Dr. Vincent Munyoki, the leader of the non-governmental organization “Vincent Munyoki Foundation,” echoed the sentiments of empowerment for young individuals. Encouraging them to work hard in their studies for a brighter future, Dr. Munyoki emphasized the significance of education in shaping the youth as the leaders of tomorrow.

The Youth Day celebration at Kabati Parish brought together leaders and members of the community, delivering messages that resonated with wisdom, care, and motivation for the younger generation.
