A case filed by a woman seeking KSh200,000 monthly child support from Narok Senator Ledama Olekina is scheduled for hearing today.

Justice Eric Ogola will preside over the proceedings, which will address various applications submitted by both parties.
The woman alleges that Senator Olekina is the biological father of her child and has neglected his parental duties. Court documents indicate that the two were in a brief romantic relationship between September 2019 and July 2020.
She is asking the court to compel the senator to pay for the child’s school fees, related expenses, and to include the child in his medical insurance.
In her affidavits filed at the Children’s Court, she claims the senator cut off contact after learning about the pregnancy and has since refused to take responsibility.
Senator Olekina, in an earlier response to the court, denied knowing the child or having had a relationship with the woman. He has requested that a DNA test be conducted, stating that the woman has not objected to it.
