A trailer accident caused heavy traffic on the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway and Kamandura-Mai Mahiu Road on Friday.
The accident led to the closure of these routes, stranding some travelers overnight. Despite efforts by traffic police to restore normal traffic flow, the congestion persisted for an extended period, disrupting many people heading home for the Christmas season.
The Limuru police commander confirmed the incident, stating that the trailers blocking the road have been cleared.
Traffic officers are working diligently to alleviate the gridlock and restore normal travel as quickly as possible.
