In his New Year’s message, President William Ruto criticized the opposition, alleging that they are undermining the government’s agenda.
President Ruto, while emphasizing his accomplishments, pointed out various policies, programs, and strategic measures designed to advance the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
The President acknowledged the importance of questioning policies and holding the government accountable, stating that a healthy competition of progressive ideas is essential for safeguarding the national interest.
“There is nothing wrong with challenging policy and holding government to account and, in fact, the national interest is best safeguarded in an environment defined by the competition of progressive ideas, where a good proposal gives way to a better one,” said the President.
