Various regions of the country will experience power outages for much of the day on Monday, as Kenya Power carries out its routine maintenance work.

Kenya Power has announced planned power disruptions in seven counties on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
These outages are aimed at facilitating maintenance activities to enhance the quality and reliability of the power supply in the affected areas.
The counties affected will include Kericho, Bomet, Kisii, Migori, Homa Bay, Makueni, and Nyamira.
Kericho County:
Power outages will affect areas such as Chemosit, Litein, Kapkatet markets, Tenwek Hospital, Kabianga University, Kabianga High School, Kabianga Dairies, and James Finlays.
Bomet County:
The affected areas include Bomet Town, Siloam Hospital, Tenwek Mission, Tenwek CTC, Longisa, Kaplong Mission, Ndanai Health Centre, Chelymo, and several tea factories such as Kisyet, Mara, Transmara Sugar, Evergreen, Sotik, Chebango, Stegro, Motigo, Tirgaga, and Ndarawetta.
Kisii County:
Kisii Town, Keroka, Keumbu, Marani, Suneka, Itibo, Igonga, Kegogi, Awendo, and Rongo will experience power interruptions.
Migori County:
Areas in Migori Town, Uriri, Kehancha, Isebania, Ndhiwa, and Sori will also be affected.
Homa Bay County:
Homabay Town, Rangwe, Asumbi, Mbita, Rusinga Island, Magunga, Nyandiwa, Kiabuya, Adiedo, and surrounding areas will face power cuts.
Makueni County:
The power outages will affect Wote Town, Makueni General Hospital, Law Courts, Thango, Watuka, Malawi, Bosnia, Mwaani Boys & Girls, Shimo, Kaloski, Kusyombunguo, and nearby customers.
Nyamira County:
Areas such as Nyamira Town, Ikonge, Ngoina, Sanganyi, Kebirigo, Chabera, and Miruka will experience interruptions.
The outages are scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
