Turkana University College has opened applications for several academic and non-academic positions as it seeks to strengthen its workforce and enhance service delivery across its departments.
In a vacancy notice issued by the Office of the Deputy Principal in charge of Administration, Finance and Planning, the institution invited suitably qualified candidates to apply for positions in teaching, research, and administration.

Among the advertised academic positions is that of a Lecturer in Public Health under the School of Science and Technology. Applicants must possess a PhD in Public Health or a closely related field from a recognized university, as well as a minimum of three years’ experience in teaching or research.
The university has also advertised opportunities within the School of Education and Social Sciences, including vacancies for Tutorial Fellows and Graduate Trainees.
According to the institution, the positions are intended to support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching while nurturing future academic staff through research, community outreach, and consultancy activities.
Candidates applying for the Tutorial Fellow position must hold at least a Master’s degree in Educational Technology or a related field and should be enrolled in a PhD programme in a relevant discipline.
For the Graduate Trainee role, applicants are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who are pursuing or have already obtained a Master’s degree.
The university noted that professional registration will be required where applicable, reflecting its focus on academic excellence and professional development.
In the administrative category, Turkana University College is also recruiting an Accountant II to strengthen its financial management operations.
Applicants for the accounting position must possess either a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, or a Bachelor’s degree together with professional qualifications such as CPA and relevant work experience.
Interested candidates are required to submit hard copy applications accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae, academic and professional certificates, national identification documents, and other relevant testimonials.
