President William Ruto has awarded national honours to dozens of leaders and professionals during the 62nd Jamhuri Day celebrations held at Nyayo National Stadium on Friday.
According to a Special Gazette Notice dated December 11, 2025, the President recognised individuals for what he described as exceptional service and significant contributions to the country across various sectors.

Under the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya, ICT Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo, Lands CS Lee Kinyanjui, and Environment CS Dr. Barasa Deborah Mlongo were among seven individuals honoured with the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.), the second-highest national award after the Chief of the Golden Heart (C.G.H.).
Also in this category was Dr. Pratt Kristina Kenyatta, sister to former President Uhuru Kenyatta, celebrated for her decades of public service. She recently ended her 23-year tenure as chairperson of the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya, having been appointed in 2002.
Other E.G.H. recipients included Attorney General Dorcas Agik Oduor, Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, and Dr. Jaffer Mohamed Husein, chair and trustee of the Jaffer Foundation Charitable Trust.
In the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (M.G.H.), President Ruto recognised top military leaders including Kenya Army Commander Lt. Gen. David Kipkemboi Ketter and Kenya Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Bernard Waliaula, both of whom received promotions earlier this year.
The President also issued a wide range of honours under the Order of the Burning Spear.
The Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (C.B.S.) was awarded to notable religious figures, members of parliament, senior government officials and security officers. Those recognised included MPs Fabian Kyule Muli (Kangundo), John Waluke (Sirisia), John Kiragu Chege (Limuru), Eve Akinyi Obara (Kabondo Kasipul), as well as Rev. Zacchaeus Okoth, Anne Maria Chepkosgei Rono, and Dr. Isabel Nyambura Waiyaki, among others.

The Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (E.B.S.) was bestowed upon senior judges, top military personnel, clergy, administrators, and professionals. Among them were Justice Kanyi Kimondo, Mrs. Edyta Katarzyna Grossmann, Brig. Mohamud Omar, Bishop Dr. Samuel Njiriri, Rev. Christopher Ruto, Court of Appeal Judge Justice George Vincent Odunga, and Ambassador Koki Muli Grignon, alongside many others.

An additional extensive list of recipients was recognised under the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S.), covering high-ranking officers in the Kenya Defence Forces, National Police Service, Judiciary and the civil service.
