The Kenyan police department has confirmed an attack that resulted in the death of a chief and a teacher in the Hulugho area of Garissa County.
The police department has said that it has taken action and ensured that security officers are at the scene to search for those who carried out the heinous act.
The police said they have increased patrols in the area and its surrounding areas.
“Security has been tightened and an operation is underway to arrest those who carried out the act and ensure they face the full force of the law,” the police department said.
The police have called on citizens to remain calm and vigilant and cooperate with security officers, while calling on anyone with information about the incident that could assist in the investigation to contact the nearest police station.
It is said that the attackers started with the local police station before heading to the chief’s house, then headed to the teacher’s house and shot him.
