A tragic fire in the Lunga Lunga slums of Nairobi claimed the lives of three individuals on Monday night. The blaze, which began around 8 p.m., destroyed a residence, resulting in the victims being burned beyond recognition.

According to police and local reports, the fire erupted within the affected home and quickly spread, killing the three people while they were asleep.
The victims were identified by their mother as a 16-year-old Form Two student, an eight-year-old girl in Grade Two at Joyland Vision Academy, and their four-year-old sister.
The fire, which occurred in the Paradise section of Lunga Lunga slums, was eventually extinguished by county fire engines. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the authorities.
Emergency services were on the scene, as noted by Nairobi police chief Adamson Bungei. The deceased were transported to City Mortuary.
