Thousands Gather for CeCe Winans’ Spirit-Filled Concert

Thousands of worshippers gathered under the night sky at Uhuru Gardens on Saturday as renowned gospel singer CeCe Winans brought her More Than This World Tour to Nairobi.

What unfolded was more than a concert — it was a deeply moving night of worship, unity, and spiritual connection.

From her first appearance on stage, Winans captivated the audience with a powerful yet gentle presence. She led the crowd in worship with beloved classics like Alabaster Box and Goodness of God, as well as new songs from her latest album.

The crowd was drawn into a shared moment of worship, transforming the outdoor venue into a space of reverence and praise. Worshippers lifted their hands, sang along, and were visibly emotional throughout the night.

At times, a profound silence swept over the grounds, broken only by the collective voices singing in harmony with Winans.

The night also featured powerful performances from Kenyan gospel star Kambua, Rwanda’s Vanissy Uwase, and Moz DJ, who set the stage with uplifting praise that celebrated the continent’s vibrant gospel culture.

Attendees described the event as deeply spiritual and transformative. While the production — including lights, sound, and stage — was top-tier, many said it was Winans’ sincerity and spirit-led performance that left the most lasting impact.

As the concert ended and the crowd slowly dispersed, it was clear the evening had touched lives — a moment not just of music, but of shared faith and heartfelt worship in the heart of Nairobi.
