The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced an extension of its operational hours starting from June 3 until June 30. This decision aims to facilitate tax return filing before the deadline on June 30.
During this period, the Tax Service Offices will operate from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays, with Saturday timings set from 9 am to 1 pm. They will remain closed on Sundays except for June 29 and 30, when they will be open from 9 am to 6 pm.
Select Huduma Centres, namely GPO HC, City Square HC, Kibra HC, Makadara HC, and Eastleigh HC in Nairobi, along with Mombasa HC, Nakuru HC, Kericho HC, Eldoret HC, Kitale HC, Meru HC, Embu HC, Kiambu HC, Laikipla HC, Nyeri HC, Kisumu HC, Kakamega HD, and Kisii HC, will operate from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays, remaining closed on weekends. Other Huduma Centres will be open from 8 am to 5 pm.
The contact center will be available from 7 am to 7 pm on weekdays, with extended hours from 7 am to 10 pm during June 24 to 28.
On Saturdays, it will operate from 9 am to 4 pm, and on Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm, except for June 30, when it will operate until midnight.
KRA encourages taxpayers to utilize the online platform itax.kra.go.ke for filing their returns.
