President Ruto has declared that Kenyans can anticipate a significant reduction in fuel prices, with a projected decrease of Ksh.10, according to his announcement during a church service in Nyeri on Sunday. He attributed this forthcoming drop to the favorable decisions made by his administration to strengthen the country’s economy.
Ruto highlighted the positive outcomes of these decisions, citing reductions in the prices of essential commodities such as maize flour and fluctuations in the exchange rate. He emphasized that such measures indicate progress and foresaw a brighter future for Kenya.

Furthermore, the president underscored the importance of governance aimed at effecting positive change, urging leaders to prioritize the interests of their constituents over personal popularity.

In February, the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) had previously announced a minor reduction in fuel prices, attributing it to a decrease in the landed costs of petroleum products. Following Ruto’s announcement, the new projected prices for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene are expected to be Ksh.196, Ksh.185.47, and Ksh.183.23, respectively.
EPRA was expected to officially announce the revised fuel prices for the period spanning April 14 to March 14.
