Relief for Students as KIM Wins Temporary Court Battle

Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) has resumed full operations across all its campuses after the High Court temporarily blocked the enforcement of a directive issued by Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority.

In a public statement, KIM said the court’s order suspends TVETA’s revocation notice, allowing the institution to continue running its programmes as a legal challenge against the decision proceeds.

Following the ruling, the institute confirmed that academic courses, corporate training, membership services, the Company of the Year Awards, and other administrative activities are now fully back on track.

KIM noted that the court’s intervention enables it to operate normally while pursuing a judicial review aimed at overturning the accreditation decision.

The institution also reassured students and stakeholders of its commitment to maintaining quality education and working with regulators to resolve the dispute.

KIM added that it is actively engaging relevant authorities to reach a permanent solution, highlighting its longstanding contribution to management training and professional development in Kenya.

The matter will continue in court, where a final determination will be made on the legality and fairness of TVETA’s actions.
