President Ruto Opens Yusuf Haji Girls Secondary in Garissa

President William Ruto has highlighted the government’s increased investment in education, noting that the budget has grown from KSh500 billion in 2022 to KSh702 billion this year.

The funding, he said, has been used to improve school infrastructure, hire 100,000 teachers, and expand resources for colleges and universities.

Speaking in Garissa, the President emphasized that the investment aims to equip Kenyans with high-quality skills to build the human capital necessary for the country’s progression towards first-world status.

“Our goal is to ensure every child in every part of Kenya has access to quality education that empowers them to thrive,” he said.

During a visit to Masalani, Garissa County, Ruto officially opened Yusuf Haji Girls Secondary School, handed over a new school bus, and laid the foundation stone for Phase II of the school’s development, underscoring the government’s commitment to improving educational facilities across the country.
