Pastor Nganga’s Unique Approach to Unmarried Couples

Renowned for his unconventional tactics, controversial urban preacher James Maina Ng’ang’a is once again making headlines with his innovative approach to addressing singleness within his Neno Evangelism Church. During a recent sermon, Ng’ang’a surprised congregants by orchestrating a live “matchmaking” session from the pulpit.

In a surprising move, Ng’ang’a invited unmarried men and women to step forward, creating two distinct groups on the pulpit. A video circulating online captures him suggesting, “Let’s bring up the unmarried women so they can meet these men.”

With both groups assembled, Ng’ang’a encouraged them to engage and potentially form connections that could lead to marriage. This unconventional initiative aimed to tackle singleness within the church by facilitating introductions and nurturing relationships among members.

In addition to the pulpit session, Ng’ang’a announced a dedicated church service focused on praying for unmarried members. He urged them to contribute offerings, underscoring the significance of seeking divine guidance in their quest for companionship.

This isn’t the first time Ng’ang’a has addressed marital status within his congregation. Last year, he sparked discussions with a six-month ultimatum to single members, urging them to find partners or contemplate leaving the church.

Ng’ang’a’s recent matchmaking endeavor, although unconventional, underscores his ongoing commitment to addressing marriage and singleness concerns among his flock. However, his methods may elicit mixed reactions, garnering both support and scrutiny from observers.
