The induction training program for recently hired fire officers was initiated by the Department of Gender, Youth, and Social Service in Nyeri County.
Joe Gethi, Chief Officer of Social Services, led the training session held at the Nyeri Fire Station. In collaboration with St. John’s Ambulance, the department is overseeing training in Basic Fire Fighting, Equipment, Hydrants, First Aid, and Structural Building.
Gethi emphasized the importance of officers carrying out their responsibilities with dedication and thoroughness to ensure effective community service. He reiterated the department’s dedication to enhancing skills, fostering a positive working environment, and providing the necessary tools and equipment for the fire section.
The training is scheduled to span three days.
