Nanyuki Boys’ High School in Laikipia County has demonstrated a remarkable performance in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
According to Solomon Kipkoech, the Chief Principal of the school, a notable achievement was made with 15 candidates securing straight A grades, while 286 achieved C+ and above, granting them direct entry to university.
This represents a significant improvement from the 2022 KCSE results, where only four candidates attained A grades. The school’s mean score also experienced a positive shift, rising from 8.890 to 8.897. Notably, the school had a larger cohort with 331 candidates compared to 237 in the previous year.
Nanyuki Boys’ High School emerged as one of the most sought-after schools in the country, with approximately 158,000 KCPE candidates selecting it. Solomon Kipkoech attributed this success to the collective efforts of hardworking students, a strong commitment to academics, and a collaborative partnership with parents. The dedication of the teaching staff, support personnel, and the disciplined class of 2023 were identified as key contributors to the school’s success.
Among the high-achieving candidates who secured an A grade were Frank Mutuota, Daniel Mamboleo, Adanoor Alinoor Isaak, Mbau Nigel Muhunyo, Odhiambo Oloo James, Ochieng Rahman Ochieng, Kennedy Gicheha, Karira Lawrence Njoroge, Mwangi Evans Muiruri, Wandera Peter, Justin Mwenda, Omondi Duncan Owino, and Matik Awech Majok.
