The lifeless body of 42-year-old Simon Mutula was discovered along the roadside in Masii, Machakos County, on Monday, with police suspecting foul play. Authorities confirmed that Mutula had sustained severe injuries, including broken legs and a fractured right arm.
Initial investigations suggest that the murder may have occurred at the site where the body was found. Police reported a deep gash on Mutula’s forehead, with blood streaming from his nose.
Additionally, there were bruises around his waist and dragging marks on the back of his head, indicating signs of a violent struggle.
The motive behind the attack remains unknown, as investigations continue. The body has been taken to Machakos Funeral Home, where a postmortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
