Police are probing a robbery in Mowlem, Nairobi, where 53-year-old Isaya Chiteri was fatally stabbed as he tried to protect his wife and daughter from four attackers.
The family was ambushed at dawn on Wednesday in the Penyanya area. Chiteri resisted the robbers, prompting one to stab him in the chest. His wife and daughter escaped unharmed.

He was rushed to hospital by rescuers but was pronounced dead on arrival. The gang fled with cash and valuables.
Nairobi police said a manhunt for the suspects is underway and security operations have been intensified, with over 300 arrests made in recent crackdowns across the city.
County police commander George Seda urged residents to report robbery cases, saying such information helps officers track suspects and strengthen the fight against crime.
