Lawyer Mathew Kyalo Mbobu sustained eight gunshot wounds in the fatal attack that claimed his life, a post-mortem report has revealed.
Government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor said the shooting was deliberate and carried out at close range, with most bullets striking from the right side of his body.

Two bullets were retrieved during the examination — one embedded in his spine — and handed over to investigators for ballistic testing to determine the firearm and ammunition used.
Dr. Oduor noted that Mbobu suffered critical injuries to the neck vessels and spine, causing massive internal bleeding that led to his death.
The lawyer was gunned down on Tuesday evening around 5:40 pm along Magadi Road, Nairobi, when two armed men on a motorbike shot him in the head before fleeing.
Police say investigations are progressing but have not yet named any suspects or established a motive. Meanwhile, members of the legal fraternity have urged authorities to speed up the probe and bring those responsible to justice.
