A Nairobi City County employee died instantly after falling from the sixth floor of the City Hall Annex building on Saturday afternoon.
The individual landed near the entrance to the building’s parking yard and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, with authorities yet to determine whether it was a case of suicide, an accidental fall, or if the person was pushed.
Central Police Commander Stephen Okal confirmed the incident, stating that officers were alerted and dispatched to investigate.
“Investigators are working to establish the exact cause. It could be suicide, an accident, an escape attempt, or a case of foul play,” Okal said.
The victim, who was wearing Nairobi County staff uniform at the time, has not yet been officially identified. The body was taken to the morgue as investigations continue.
A crowd gathered at the site shortly after the incident, drawing attention to the tragic scene.
