Kauta promises to share his manifesto, policies, and vision digitally while steering clear of traditional methods like grassroots engagement on the ground.
However, one cannot help but wonder: Is the absence of on-the-ground campaigning a risky move in a region where personal connections and face-to-face interaction still hold significant value? Kitui’s rural areas may not be as connected to social media or online platforms, and Kauta’s reliance on these tools could risk excluding a large portion of the electorate.
Additionally, Kauta vows to publish policy papers addressing crucial issues such as healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and employment.
