Man Who Stabbed and Injured Nakuru Woman Surrenders to Police

Elias Njau, a man wanted in connection with the attempted murder of his girlfriend turned himself in to the Nakuru police station on Monday morning.

The suspect is believed to have attacked his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at their home in Kiamunyi on November 22, stabbing her with a knife. After the incident, he fled the scene but later surrendered with his lawyer present.

He was taken into custody for questioning regarding the attempted murder charges.

The victim, who is also involved in a land business with the suspect in the area, was found unconscious with multiple stab wounds to her head and hands. She later told police that they had been arguing before the man attacked her.

She was rushed to the hospital and is currently in stable condition. According to police, the couple had a history of domestic conflicts, which led to the violent attack.

The suspect was transferred to Menengai police station for further investigation, where detectives are continuing to probe the attempted murder. Authorities are also looking into the motive behind the attack, which is part of a larger trend of increasing assaults and murders in the country.
