Dr Vincent munyoki who is is a professional doctor and the founder of Vincent munyoki foundation today on 5th , April has urged the national government and county governments through the ministry of health to come to an agreement and find a lasting solution for the on going strike of medical practioners for the to came back and counting saving the lives of Kenyans who are suffering in the hospital without doctors , nurses
Munyoki disclosed that he has visited some medical Facilities and he was disheartened to see hospitals lacking essential medical personnel such as doctors, nurses, and CEOs.
“Every day we wake up to news of lives lost due to inadequate healthcare services. This is unacceptable.We cannot continue to ignore the plight of our people who rely on us for medical care. It is time for the Ministry of Health, the national government, and county governments to come together and resolve the issues surrounding medical interns and end the strike. Our medical practitioners must return to their duty of saving lives”
He urged the doctors and nurses to engage in constructive negotiations with the government to ensure fair compensation and working conditions. “Saving lives should not come at the cost of sacrificing their own well-being,” .he added.
However munyoki also highlighted it should not be taken for granted the sacrifices made by our medical professionals and They deserve our utmost respect and appreciation for their tireless efforts in preserving life. Compensation should not be seen as just a salary but as a token of gratitude for their invaluable service to society.
He has also urged all the leaders to unite to overcome this medical crisis plaguing our nation. “It is only through collective action and solidarity that we can ensure a healthier and brighter future for all Kenyans”
