Kenya Power has announced scheduled power outages in specific areas of Siaya, Nyeri, Tharaka Nithi, and Mombasa counties on Wednesday, aimed at facilitating grid maintenance in those regions. The outages will occur from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Siaya
Power interruptions will affect areas in Boro and Nyadorera, including Mwer Sec, Nyandheho, Mahero, Dibuoro Sec, Nyadorera Market, and nearby customers. Power will be restored by 5 p.m.
Nyeri
In Nyeri, the outage will impact Kamwenja and Mtahari Hospital areas, including Mathari Hospital, Kamwenja Teachers College, KBC Nyeri Hills, Ihururu, Njoguini, Karunaini, Nyarugumu, Kihuyo, Juakali, Ngoru, Miagayuini, Kimathi Sec, Muhoya Sec, and adjacent customers. Power will be cut at 8 a.m. and restored by 5 p.m.
Tharaka Nithi
In Tharaka Nithi, areas within Kambandi Market and Njaina will experience power interruptions, including Kambandi Mkt, Kambandi Disp, Weru Mkt, Weru Poly, Mukuthuku Pri School, Iruku Pri School, Chiku, Rukundi, County Girls, Gathigiririni Pri, Ntuntuni, Njaina Pri School, Mutunguruni, and nearby customers. Power will be out from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Mombasa
In Mombasa, outages will affect Jomvu, Utange, and Fisheries, including Icolo, Black Devil, Devki, Shreeji, Total Petrol Station, Excel, Romollas, Chai Traders, and nearby customers in Jomvu. In Fisheries and Utange, affected areas include Fisheries, Mwembeni, Palestina, Utanga Barawa, Huduma Centre, Seven Star, Nimrod Tabu, Utange Primary, Joho Girls Elizabeth, part of Bombo Village, and nearby customers. The outage will occur from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
