“The true measure of a good diplomat lies in their integrity, professionalism, patriotism, and commitment to advancing the welfare of our people as they serve Kenya across the world,” Mudavadi said.

He handed out certificates to the envoys following their completion of pre-departure training at the Foreign Service Academy, congratulating them on their appointments by President William Ruto. Mudavadi reminded them that representing Kenya is not merely a prestigious role, but a serious responsibility to serve with excellence and purpose.

Focus on Trade Diplomacy

The Prime Cabinet Secretary highlighted trade diplomacy as a critical component of Kenya’s international engagement, stressing its role in driving economic growth and job creation.

“With our youthful population presenting both immense potential and challenges like unemployment, our envoys must foster innovative partnerships and attract people-centered investments that create jobs and expand opportunities for Kenyans,” he said.
