Authorities are investigating the death of 29-year-old Dennis Muriithi, who was found dead at his estranged wife’s home in Kamuiru village, Kagumo, Kirinyaga County, following a domestic dispute on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Police say Muriithi had visited the house to discuss unresolved issues with his former wife and her mother. Witnesses report that the talks failed and that he allegedly stabbed himself in the chest with a kitchen knife, dying at the scene.
Officers documented the scene, recovered the knife, and moved the body to the mortuary for further procedures.
The case is being treated as a suspected murder pending investigations.
