Jose Mourihno Sacked by AS Roma

Jose Mourinho has been dismissed by Roma, effective immediately, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The club, currently positioned in ninth place in Serie A, decided to part ways with Mourinho after a tenure of two and a half years. Mourinho assumed the role at Roma in May 2021 and achieved success by guiding the team to the Europa Conference League title in 2022.

Additionally, he led Roma to the Europa League final last season, where they suffered a defeat to Sevilla in a penalty shootout.

In an official statement, Roma expressed gratitude to Mourinho for his passion and efforts during his time at the club. Despite acknowledging positive memories from Mourinho’s tenure, the club believes that an immediate change is in the best interests of Roma.

The decision comes at a time when Roma is positioned in the ninth spot in Serie A, and Lazio, their city rivals, recently eliminated them from the Coppa Italia.
