In a recent development, Mike Mbuvi Sonko has taken a firm stance against the divisive remarks made by Sammy Muisyo during his address to the residents of Mulango Ward in Kitui Central, Kitui County. Sonko, a prominent figure in Kenyan politics, expressed his disappointment at the lack of respect shown towards fellow leaders, particularly in the context of personal judgments directed at Kitui County Women Representative, Irine Kasalu.
“Respect forms the bedrock of effective leadership,” stated Sonko. “I strongly condemn any attempts to undermine the integrity of our public servants. It is essential that we prioritize discussions based on truth, fairness, and respect.”
Sonko’s condemnation was specifically targeted at the comments made by Sammy Muisyo, which insinuated certain behaviors regarding Irine Kasalu. He emphasized that allegations without proper evidence can be damaging and divert attention from the critical issues that the community faces. Instead, Sonko advocated for constructive dialogues that aim to uplift society.
“Let us be cautious about perpetuating stereotypes or making judgments based on isolated incidents,” Sonko urged. “Divisive narratives have no place in our community discourse.”

The former Nairobi Governor called upon Sammy Muisyo to reconsider his approach and recognize the importance of respecting all leaders, regardless of gender. He emphasized the need for Muisyo to refrain from engaging in divisive rhetoric that undermines the unity and progress of the community.

Sonko’s statement comes at a crucial time when the country is grappling with various social and political challenges. His call for unity and respect among leaders echoes the sentiments of many who believe in fostering a harmonious and inclusive society.
As the nation continues to navigate through complex issues, Sonko’s words serve as a reminder of the importance of upholding values of respect, integrity, and unity in all aspects of public discourse.
