The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection announced that 1,759,656 beneficiaries will each receive Ksh2,000, with payments beginning on June 6.
Inua Jamii targets senior citizens aged 70 and above, orphans and vulnerable children, as well as individuals with severe disabilities.
Joseph Motari, the Principal Secretary for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs, emphasized that the programme is a key part of the government’s strategy to protect the most vulnerable groups from poverty.
