His body was discovered early Saturday morning by the roadside in Adiedo village, about 400 meters from the family home, showing injuries to the head, arms, and legs.

Relatives rushed him to Kendubay Sub-county Hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police confirmed the death and later visited the scene. However, detectives determined that the roadside location was likely not where the killing occurred, as there were no visible bloodstains.

A follow-up search at the family’s home uncovered two clubs, an axe, and a slasher—all with suspected bloodstains. Investigators also found blood on a wall in the family’s kitchen, which appeared to have been recently cleaned.

More possible evidence was recovered in a nearby maize field, contradicting initial claims that the body had simply been found outside.

The three siblings were taken into custody for questioning as the probe into the suspected murder continues.

Ochieng’s body was transferred to the mortuary for a postmortem and forensic analysis.
