Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s administration is resolute in its commitment to improving the condition of all county roads, as confirmed by CECM Eng. Reuben Itiko.
Emphasizing the crucial role of a well-maintained road network in facilitating efficient mobility and fostering economic growth, the Executive for Roads, Public Works, and Transport highlights the County Government’s dedication to regular maintenance and the creation of new routes for improved accessibility throughout Kitui.
Eng. Itiko expressed this commitment during the site handover for the enhancement of the Wanzua to Kang’au Primary School road and the construction of Kwa Kitali slabs at Kang’au and Wanzua in Ivaini village, Kyangwithya East Ward, Kitui Central Sub County.
The project will involve earthworks, culvert installation, spot gravelling, and concrete slab construction.

Stressing the importance of local community cooperation, CEC Itiko urged support for the project’s success and sustainability, joined by other officials including Kitui Central Sub-County Administrator Stephen Ngesu and local Ward Administrator Alice Kimeu.
