Yet another woman has been brutally murdered, with her left breast severed, adding to the disturbing trend of escalating violence against women in the country.
The 55-year-old victim, who had attended church earlier in the day, was expected at a family event in Itikarua village but failed to show up. Her lifeless body was discovered in a thicket in Kiganjo, Gatundu South. Despite family efforts to contact her, they were informed by a neighbor about the grim discovery near a bridge close to their home.
In a separate incident in Githurai 44, police responding to a woman’s screams found a 24-year-old being assaulted by her boyfriend. The victim, who suffered severe injuries, was rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to the wounds upon arrival. The suspect, identified as Clinton Mwangi, was arrested.
