A teacher in Embu reportedly ended his life after facing rejection from a woman he was pursuing romantically.
In a note he left behind, the teacher requested the local MCA to coordinate his funeral arrangements and asked the woman who turned him down to deliver his eulogy.
He also specified that he wished to be laid to rest on Valentine’s Day, which falls next week, and provided a photo to be used in his burial program.
“I may appear foolish, but I confided in 17 individuals about my distress, and none offered solace. Let us reunite in heaven,” read a portion of his suicide note.
He briefly mentioned on Facebook that his acquaintances should attend his event scheduled for February 14th.
“Good evening, members. When you are burdened, you simply need one friend to confide in. Meanwhile, I extend an invitation to my event on 14/2/2024,” he posted.
The man meticulously outlined the roles he expected his friends to fulfill at his final farewell.
Expressing his frustration and decision to end his life, he lamented how he attempted to seek support from his closest family and friends.
“I may appear foolish, but I confided in 17 individuals, and none offered solace. Let us reunite in heaven,” he reiterated.
Furthermore, he specified:
- Phides Wambui Munyi to deliver the eulogy
- Burial to be held on 14/2/204 (Next Wednesday)
- Requested burial site: Kavebgero kwa Ithagu
- All assets to be distributed to any children he may have
- JM Thiriko, the speaker, and Sammy Tito, MCA, to oversee his funeral arrangements
- He included a photograph to be included in his burial program
- He expressed his eternal love for Phides Wambui Munyi
