Acting County Secretary Godfrey Akumali urged motorists to plan ahead and consider alternative routes to minimize disruptions.
“This closure will be in place from Monday, March 17, 2025, at 8:00 PM until Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM to allow for the setup and hosting of the WRC Safari Rally Opening Ceremony,” he stated.
Akumali explained that the closure is necessary for smooth event preparations for this prestigious international motorsport competition.
He also mentioned that traffic officers and marshals would be stationed along the affected areas to help manage traffic flow and reduce congestion.
The WRC Safari Rally, a renowned global event held annually in different countries, attracts participants and fans worldwide. This year’s rally, taking place from March 20 to March 23, 2025, will be held in Nairobi and Nakuru counties.
