In a post shared on her X account, Charlene appealed for what she termed a “generational cease-fire,” encouraging all age groups to come together for the good of the country.

“It’s time we embrace intergenerational dialogue, propose thoughtful policies, and actively push for meaningful reforms,” she wrote.

She pointed out that millennials share responsibility for the growing divide, noting that their failure to guide and mediate between generations has led to increased conflict, frustration, and, in some cases, deadly outcomes.

“We’ve fallen short in providing leadership during hard times and giving our youth constructive options that steer them away from violence and radicalization,” she said.

Charlene warned that anger-fueled actions like riots, cyberbullying, cancel culture, and revenge would only weaken the country’s unity and stability.

Known for her advocacy on youth issues, Charlene has continued to promote healing and reflection. During a visit on July 11, 2024, to young protest victims, she emphasized the need for unity and compassion.

“It was an emotional day meeting some of those caught in recent unrest. As a country, it’s time to reflect and seek healing through patriotism, forgiveness, and togetherness,” she said.

Earlier, on July 5, Charlene encouraged youth to use President Ruto’s interactive session on X as a platform to express their concerns respectfully, calling it a “chance of a lifetime” to influence policy through constructive engagement.

“Young people, this is your moment—use it wisely. Your approach today will shape future discussions and your success,” she urged.
