The family of Munuve, a bouncer from Machakos, has confirmed that he died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a postmortem conducted at Machakos Funeral Home on Tuesday.

“The postmortem confirms that Munuve died from injuries caused by multiple gunshots,” Kioko stated, shortly after the examination concluded.

Munuve, who worked at a club in Machakos town, was shot under unclear circumstances while on duty. Reports suggest he may have had an altercation with some individuals before he was shot, and he reportedly died at the scene.

The family is urging authorities to carry out a swift investigation into his murder as the prosecution of suspects begins at Machakos High Court. Kioko emphasized that Munuve was the family’s sole breadwinner.

“We are demanding justice for our son, who was our main source of livelihood,” he said.

The High Court has allowed the prosecution additional time to conclude investigations into the two suspects accused of killing Munuve. One suspect appeared in court on Monday, while the second, alleged to have fired the fatal shot, was absent due to illness and was hospitalized.

The court has ordered both suspects to remain in police custody until January 5, when they are expected to appear for a hearing. The suspects are accused of fatally shooting Munuve on December 24 at a club in Machakos Township.
