“We discussed the political dynamics in Nairobi, focusing on where and how to engage for positive change,” he added, mentioning that the consultations would continue.

Since leaving office, Gachagua has met with various political groups, including current MPs, senators, and former elected leaders, in an effort to broaden his political reach beyond Mt Kenya. He has also engaged with aspiring politicians seeking various positions in the upcoming election, including those looking to challenge President William Ruto’s allies.
Gachagua has held meetings with delegates from Kisii, Nyamira, Nakuru, Meru, Laikipia, and Kirinyaga counties, as part of his strategy to challenge Ruto’s political dominance. Recently, he hosted a delegation of lawyers from the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), led by Steve Mbugua. Their discussions covered national politics, governance challenges, and opportunities, focusing on topics such as constitutional law and human rights.
“We explored how we can work together to protect and promote the fundamental rights and freedoms of all Kenyans,” Gachagua concluded.
