Reece James See Red as Chelsea Deflate Brighton

It seems Mauricio Pochettino might just be turning things around.

Chelsea’s fourth consecutive win, highlighted by Cole Palmer’s impressive 27th goal of the season and a goal from substitute Christopher Nkunku, signals a resurgence despite Reece James’ unnecessary late red card.

Chelsea is now on the cusp of securing European competition next season, and could even surpass Tottenham for the fifth position if they triumph over Bournemouth in their season finale on Sunday.

This marks a significant recovery from their 5-0 defeat to Arsenal recently, with Palmer and Nkunku, who marked his 11th league appearance with a goal celebration involving a blue balloon, hinting at the potential heights this team could reach.

Roberto De Zerbi’s team was soundly defeated, even with Danny Welbeck’s late goal offering little solace. The only blemish for Pochettino was James’ ejection shortly after his substitution, following a retaliatory kick at João Pedro, which was caught by VAR.
