Approximately 40 residents from Chegilet village in Keiyo North constituency, Elgeyo Marakwet County, were admitted to a hospital in Iten after ingesting contaminated milk.
Out of the 40 individuals, 20 have been discharged following treatment, while the remaining patients continue to receive medical care at the facility.
Elgeyo Marakwet County Executive Committee (CEC) member for health, Michael Kibiwot, confirmed the incident. According to Kibiwot, the affected individuals comprise 13 children, 7 women, and 18 men.
