Security Stakeholders Call on Parents to Assume Active Roles in Child Upbringing

Amidst a surge in juvenile crimes in Mombasa County, security stakeholders have urged parents and guardians to take a proactive approach in monitoring and guiding their children.

The call was made during the annual prayers and thanksgiving ceremony for the disciplined forces at the Holy Ghost Cathedral, where Regional Senior Assistant Director of Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS), John Wambua, emphasized the pivotal role of parents in shaping children’s behavior and morals.

Wambua underscored the importance of community involvement in nurturing children towards a positive upbringing, urging parents to engage their children in religious and spiritual activities, especially during extended school holidays, to deter them from engaging in delinquent behavior.
