President William Ruto has touched down in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, marking the start of a two-day state visit to the neighboring country.

During the visit, Ruto is set to hold a private meeting with his host, Samia Suluhu Hassan, before leading bilateral talks involving officials from both nations.
The discussions will center on strengthening cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure, and transport—sectors vital to regional economic integration.
According to State House, the engagement aims to bolster the long-standing ties between Kenya and Tanzania while exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

The two leaders are also expected to brief the media on the outcomes of their talks.

A key highlight of the trip will be the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding and cooperation agreements, reflecting a renewed push for joint development.

On Tuesday, May 5, President Ruto is scheduled to travel to Dodoma, where he will address the Parliament of Tanzania—an uncommon diplomatic gesture that signals strengthening relations between the two countries.
