According to him, the national conversation should shift from whether Ruto will win a second term to the size of his victory margin. He emphasized the need for a clear and uncontested outcome that reflects strong public backing.
Mudavadi made the remarks in Kilgoris, Narok County, during a church fundraiser and thanksgiving event organized by Tourism Principal Secretary John Ololtuaa.
He also called for peace ahead of the 2027 elections, highlighting its importance to economic stability. Drawing from his international experience, Mudavadi pointed to ongoing conflicts in regions like the Middle East, warning of their devastating human and economic consequences.
On the economy, he said Kenya is gradually stabilizing under Ruto’s leadership, noting that the country has avoided major currency depreciation seen in several African nations.

He credited government measures such as the fuel import deal for stabilizing energy prices and easing the cost of living.

Mudavadi further said the agricultural sector has improved due to subsidized fertilizer, which has boosted production. He reiterated the government’s commitment to accountability and tackling cartels in key sectors such as energy, health, and agriculture.
