Kenya Power has announced a scheduled electricity outage set to impact residents and businesses across nine counties on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
In a notice shared on X, the utility company informed customers that the planned interruption will last several hours in the listed areas.

Nairobi County
In Runda, electricity will be off from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., affecting areas such as Redhill Road, Gachie, Rosslyn Green, Rosslyn Lone Tree, Runda Groove, Ruaka Groove, parts of Ruaka Drive, Rosslyn Valley, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Sections of Buruburu and Hamza will also experience outages during the same hours, including Buruburu Phase 5, Naivas Buruburu, Makadara Law Court, Magunas Jogoo Road, Uhuru Market, St. Ann School, Mbotela, and Likoni Road.
The Bahati area—covering Bahati Towers, Rikana, Burma Market, City Stadium, Kaloleni, and nearby customers—will also be affected. Along Ngong Road, power will be interrupted between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., impacting Green House, Adams Arcade, Ndemi Lane, Guadalupe Church, Suna Road, parts of Kirichwa Road, Kenya Shell, Total Petrol Station, and adjacent premises.
Kajiado County
Kajiado Town and its environs will face outages from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., affecting Kajiado County Offices, Saina, BlueSky, Sambel, Oloyangalani, Oloosuyian, Saab Royale, Suguna Farm, MTTI, and the entire Kajiado Town area.
Central Rift
In Londiani, electricity will be unavailable from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., impacting Makutano, Miti Tatu, Kiploki, Kamwingi 1 and 2, DF4, Londiani Girls, Sacred Heart, and nearby customers.
North Rift
In Uasin Gishu County, Naiberi Centre, Kipsinende Farm, Plateau Bible College, and Plateau Hospital will experience outages between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.
South Nyanza
In Homa Bay County, Rabuor, Mango, Twist Centre, and surrounding areas will be affected from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Mt. Kenya Region
In Nyeri County, areas including Endarasha, Charity, Uasonyiro, Mairo, Endarasha Secondary School, Watuka, Wandare, Embaringo, Kimunyuru, and nearby locations will be without power from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Chinga and Kagicha areas will also experience outages from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., affecting Chinga Girls, Gathabari, Gathanji, Gichiche, Demka Dairy, Ruruguti, Chinga Boys, Gikurwe, Kagongo, Major Wachira Farm, and Kiinu.
Kirinyaga County
Thumaita West will have power interruptions from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., covering Kiandai, Kinyakiiru, Multiple Academy, Riamugaa, Kiambwe, Thiguku, Baricho Town, Getuya, and surrounding areas.
Murang’a County
Kenol Town, Githanji Estate, Kimorori Market, County Offices, Kenol, Githanji Police Post, and nearby areas will experience outages between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.
Laikipia County
Mukima, KHE, parts of Ntrukuma, St. Jude Murungai, Akurino, Muramati, Mwireri, and adjacent customers will be affected from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Kenya Power advised customers in the listed areas to plan accordingly during the scheduled maintenance period.
