The rapid burial of Starlet Wahu, the younger sister of Pastor Victor Kanyari, just three days after her tragic murder, has raised questions among the public. The shocking incident unfolded when Wahu’s lifeless body was discovered at a South B-based Airbnb, sparking widespread discussions and sorrow in the community.

The prime suspect, John Matara, was promptly arrested, deepening the air of suspicion and grief surrounding the entire situation. In an emotional sermon at his church, Pastor Kanyari disclosed the heart-wrenching reasons behind the hurried burial of his sister.

He recounted the somber decision to bid a swift farewell, with Wahu laid to rest within three days of her demise, attended by only twenty mourners on a Saturday morning at 8 AM. Pastor Kanyari explained that he told his mother they needed to bury Wahu promptly, given the circumstances.

Despite offers of financial assistance, Kanyari staunchly refused any fundraising efforts, expressing his determination to personally finance and oversee all aspects of his sister’s funeral.
“We didn’t want shame, and we didn’t want contributions. Those who sent me contributions, I returned them. I said I don’t want contributions for my sister’s funeral; I will provide all the money, and I will manage everything related to the funeral.”
In a poignant revelation, Pastor Kanyari highlighted the tragic mistake made by his sister, who placed trust in an unfamiliar person. He emphasized the consequences of her actions, leading to her untimely death at the age of twenty-four.
Despite the grief, Kanyari lamented Wahu’s young age, stressing that she had barely started living. He concluded his sermon with a solemn reminder that everyone will eventually face death.
