Authorities in Bondo sub-county are looking into the demise of a 25-year-old man whose body was discovered in a residential area within Usenge town last evening.
The individual, identified as Pius Onyango Ouma, was found hanging on a fencing pole within the compound of the residential property, leading to suspicions of suicide.
Jennifer Maureen Aringo, the landlady of the residence, reported the incident to the police, prompting an investigation by officers from Usenge police station. It was revealed that the deceased had engaged in an argument with his wife on Saturday night, after which he left the house and did not return.
Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo mentioned that, although Onyango did not leave behind any written note, the circumstances suggest a possible suicide.
Kimaiyo added that the body, which showed no apparent physical injuries, has been transferred to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
