Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal Stun Spain To Lift UEFA Nations League Cup

Portugal has once again asserted its dominance in European football by securing the UEFA Nations League title. This marks their second triumph in the competition, with their first victory coming in the inaugural 2018-2019 season.

In a thrilling 2024-2025 final, Portugal overcame rivals Spain in a dramatic penalty shootout. The match, held on Sunday, ended in a 2-2 draw after extra time. Portugal’s goals in regular time came from Nuno Mendes and a strike from the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo. The tense penalty shootout saw Portugal emerge victorious, adding another prestigious trophy to their cabinet under the management of Roberto Martínez.
