During a Sunday church service in Makadara, area MP George Aladwa urged President Ruto to remain focused, assuring him of ODM’s backing in Nairobi.
Aladwa, who also chairs ODM’s Nairobi branch, emphasized their alignment with Ruto’s leadership, saying their support goes beyond the Broad-based Government and is aimed at securing his re-election.
“As ODM leaders in Nairobi, we are firmly behind the President. He stood by Raila Odinga during his African Union Commission bid, and we won’t forget that,” Aladwa said, adding that tribal politics had no place in the capital.
Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris echoed the sentiment, calling Ruto the right leader for the country and reaffirming Nairobi’s support for his leadership.
Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu also backed Ruto, citing his development record and calling on Kenyans to support his agenda.
“I choose to align with a leader who has delivered. I don’t belong in the minor league,” she said.
