The victim had withdrawn the cash from a bank on May 3 to pay workers at a site in Kimalati, Kitengela. As he drove away, two men in traffic police uniforms flagged him down, claiming he had violated traffic rules.

They asked to accompany him to the police station, and he agreed.

One uniformed man and a civilian entered his vehicle while another car followed behind. The men soon revealed themselves as robbers, hijacked the car, and took control.

They later abandoned the foreman along Old Kiambu Road in Muthaiga, about 50 km from where the incident began, taking the cash and car keys with them.

He reported the case at Muthaiga Police Station, and investigations are ongoing in coordination with Kitengela officers.
