Also present at the meeting was Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua.
Ruto stressed the importance of embracing collaborative leadership, despite differing political views, to foster unity and drive Kenya’s transformation.
“By working together more effectively, we will fast-track service delivery and the development of our nation,” he remarked.

This meeting follows a previous gathering led by Mutua, where leaders highlighted the necessity of presenting a united front to address challenges facing Ukambani.
Mutua reaffirmed the commitment of local leaders to promote sustainable progress and ensure the region plays a larger role in national development.
Key topics of discussion included empowering the Kamba community through leadership and professional advancement.

Infrastructure, education, and employment were identified as critical areas in need of urgent focus.
The meeting also underscored the importance of transparency and accountability in decision-making to guide initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the Kamba people.
